Ensuring free quality education in all programs under compliance, Eastern Visayas State University is working hand-in-hand with the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) along with its external campuses during the CHED- COPC validation visit last September 27, 2023, at the Graduate School Function Hall.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lydia M. Morante emphasized in her welcoming remarks that the university is surely giving a 101% across colleges and campuses to secure the said compliance.
โOur vision for EVSU to be the leading state university is grounded on our desire to produce intellectuals who can spread positive effects to our lives and of course to the larger community where our students can be employed. We are just proud of all the efforts of the faculty, who are considered to be the strong resource, the bedrock of this university,โ said Dr. Morante.
โPart of our COPC issuing task is to have accurate MIS data, with the data submitted from the MIS submission revalidated at the (situation) actual visit,โ said Engr. Socorro Ramos, lead evaluator of the CHEd Assessment Team.
The said 3-day visit aims to validate programs of the university in relation to the Time, Standards, and Guidelines (TSG) in assurance to providing quality education to the students.

Eastern Visayas State University- Burauen Campus acquired a total number of two (2) programs approved and four (4) programs under the Education Department recommended for Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) during the said 3-day validation visit.
The programs that were already under second revisit are: Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSEd English) are now given program compliance with the attached supplemental documents which were already reviewed during the first evaluation last March 2023.
Moreover, the programs under the Education Department namely: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics (BSEd Math), and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSEd Science), are first-time complaints for the said visit.
Dr. Leo Camposano, the lead evaluator for the Education programs, further stated that Burauen Campus has indeed improved from its previous visit last March of the same year. Dr. Camposano went on an ocular inspection visit at the campus on Thursday, September 28.
He then acclaimed the programs for certificate compliance with a minimal document completion to follow for each of the said programs.
Dr. Renato Martija, the campus director for EVSU-BC expressed his gratitude to the hardworking heads of the department, faculty, and staff for the success of the said recommended programs for compliance.
Four (4) other programs, namely Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA), Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Agricultural Extension (BS Agriculture), and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics (BTLEd-HE) will be further evaluated at the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) this week.
