Aiming to gather and welcome freshmen students, transferees, and shiftees on the campus, the Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO) headed by Dr. Edna P. Modina, organized the University Students Welcome and Gathering (USWAG), September 22 at the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) Hall.

The month-old newly installed Campus Director for EVSU Burauen Campus Dr. Renato E. Martija, expressed his warmest greeting and excitement in meeting the freshmen students and transferees of the campus.

“And as you embark on this journey, you do so within the community that is dedicated to your success and growth. You have joined a community that is committed to your success, growth, and well-being. Together, we will work towards achieving your academic and personal growth.” said Dr. Martija

Moreover, Dr. Lydia M. Morante, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) extended her inspirational message to the students as they embark on a new journey in college.

“This university is not just a place of learning, our EVSU is a vibrant community, that embraces diversity, nurtures talents, and empowers dreams. Here you will find a supportive network of faculty, staff, and co-fellow students who will accompany you to your educational journey.” Dr. Morante stressed in her message.

The said activity commenced with the introduction of the university key officials, and academic heads of each department (Prof. Ma. Crissandra Oliveros of the Agriculture Department, Dr. Renato Namia Jr., head of the Business, Entrepreneurship and Management Department, Prof. Daisy Pedere, head of the Education Department, Prof. Christopher Raga, head of the Information Technology Department and Prof. Darlene Monteros, head of Technology Department), core faculty of each program, part-time lecturers, non-academic unit offices, coordinators and staff of the campus.

A brief information on the Student Handbook was also discussed by the SASO Head Dr. Modina accentuating the minor and major offenses within the campus premises.
