Student orientation seminar on “Teenage Pregnancy, Reproductive Health, and Sexuality” gathers all freshmen across departments to raise awareness on the positive attitude towards individual health held at the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) Hall, February 14.
Commencing the orientation with the inspiring message from the Campus Director, Dr. Renato E. Martija, persuaded students of the importance of collective efforts in creating a supportive environment for informed choices.
“Let’s all work together to break stigmas… Evoke this information and promote responsible decision-making among young individuals,” he expresses.
Additionally, Prof. Antonino A. Sales Jr., SASO Head, emphasizes the seminar’s timely and pertinent nature. He also highlights that it fosters a better understanding of reproductive health and promotes responsible decision-making among students.
Meanwhile, during the discussion of Rev. Fr. John Andrew D. Avila, Immaculate Conception Parish (ICP) Parochial Vicar, he shared the vital importance of grasping sexuality in the context of personal and spiritual growth and that it is a complex experience that influences individual identity and relationships.
Moreover, proactive measures to address the key areas towards preventing early pregnancies and promoting well-being in the community was deliberately elaborated on by representatives from the Municipal Health Office of Burauen.
The event concluded through giving of certificates to the guest speakers.
